What Is Perfection?
Perfection is something everyone strives for but what is it? But we're losing out on looking at the imperfections, the things that makes us our unique selves. It's part of our human nature to want perfection, like myself I'm always looking at something or someone else thinking 'wow they look perfect' or 'they have the perfect life' and I'm not saying i want to be somebody else because i wouldn't be me - i would be someone elses copy and that's not loving or embracing what makes me who i am as a person.
We hold ourselves to this impossible standard: perfection. It's easy to get swept up by the fear that we just aren't enough. We think we aren't smart enough, pretty enough, successful enough, thin enough, tall enough for example we go to some extreme lengths in attempt to achieve the 'perfect' look, like we're compelled to exercise, diet, wax, pluck and tuck. Of course there is nothing wrong with taking pride in our appearance but are we really giving into the pressures of being perfect? We're all striving for this strange idea of perfection in hope that maybe if we have the perfect body, the perfect attitude or the perfect life all together, then maybe we will feel better about ourselves. Maybe we will be happier, or more confident. Maybe we will feel like we are good enough!
How do we balance those external expectations with the reality of our humanity? It's important to be open to our unique version of outer beauty and own who we are as individuals, embracing our unique style flaws and all. I'm sure you can think of someone who isn't classically beautiful, but they seem so comfortable in their own skin, it makes them very appealing.

Making yourself happy, making yourself beautiful and making yourself the confident person you deserve to be is what is important. Being the best possible version of yourself is what is good enough and more valued - Being happy and feeling good about yourself isn’t about being perfect. It's about embracing every small, imperfect thing about yourself, all the things that make you YOU is what is perfect. We are pretty enough, good enough, valued enough - We as humans are enough!
Overall, in my eyes perfection is embracing everything that makes you beautiful, flawed and unique. At the end of the day progress over rules perfection.
